I do not think there has ever been an authority such as Transport Malta that has been criticised so much, and understandably so.

Last October I had written to Transport Malta to clarify a problem I had encountered. What happened is that when we topped up two nameless and photoless cards online, we mixed up the cards and we couldn’t tell whose was which.

Thinking the best way to solve the problem was to contact Transport Malta, we sent them an e-mail asking for their kind help in clarifying the matter. They really took their time to reply or rather acknowledge the mail. However, they later wrote again asking for the ID card number, which was forwarded immediately.

However, we still have not received a reply, let alone a solution.

Could this mean that Transport Malta has no real record of who is using which card? Maybe it will kindly clarify this and hopefully help solve our problem. Or is this asking too much from such an efficient, organised company?
