• Friends of the Sick and Elderly Gozo are organising a charity sale at Victoria Football Ground today from 8am to 1pm. Sellers pay €10 per car space.

• The feast of St John Bosco will be celebrated today. Gozo diocese vicar general Tarcisio Camilleri will celebrate Mass at 9am at Don Bosco Oratory Chapel, Victoria. This will be followed by the blessing of pets in St Augustine’s Square, Victoria. Leone Band will perform marches from 4.30pm onwards and will accompany a procession with the saint’s statue that leaves the oratory at 5.30pm.

The feast will end with a concert at the Don Bosco Theatre Hall at 7.30pm by the Gozo Youth Wind Band and Orchestra directed by Joseph Grech. Entrance is free and open to all.

• The Oasi Foundation bazaar is open near the cross in the St Francis Square, until February 13, from 8.30am to 12.30pm and 4.30 to 7pm, Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.

• Richmond Foundation will hold its monthly self-help group meeting in Gozo on Tuesday at 4.30pm at the NGO Centre, l/o Xewkija. For details call 2148 2336.

• The monthly coffee morning of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary Ladies’ Circle will be held on Thursday at 9am at the Catholic Action headquarters, Victoria. Tickets can be obtained from members and from the school.

• Members of Il-Fergħa Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will meet at Ta’ Pinu on Saturday at 3pm to celebrate Mass and to adore the Blessed Sacrament till 4pm.

• Parents are invited to bring their baptised babies to Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary on Saturday at 4pm to be presented to Our Lady. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will preside a liturgy of the word. The ceremony is organised annually by the Catholic Action Movement in Gozo. Those attending will be asked to provide their child’s name, surname, date of birth, as well as their address and telephone number. • The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta’ Ħamet, on Saturday at 8pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• Transport Malta’s Nautical Licence Course in Maltese and English will be held on February 26, 27 and 28 at the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps headquarters, Xewkija. It includes practice at sea, basic firefighting and first aid skills. Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion, the nautical licence, a first aid certificate and a basic firefighting certificate.
