A landmark obelisk at Castle Hill, outside the Citadel, Victoria, is being renovated by the Gozo Ministry’s restoration unit. It commemo­rates the date when water first started to be channelled via an aqueduct from the Għar Ilma (Cave of Water) natural fresh water spring to a new central reservoir at the Citadel on September 6, 1843.
