Singer Michela Dalli was recently chosen by Erseb Productions to take part in Northern Lights, an international competition of pop and folk music held in Finland, where participants from eight countries, including Malta, were represented.

The singer faced stiff competition from another 14 participants in her category, emerging at the top following a strong rendition of I Dreamed a Dream, taken from the hit musical Les Miserables and I Look to You, originally sung by the late Whitney Houston.

In 2015, Michela established herself on the local music scene, having reached the finals of three national competitions: L-Għanja tal-Poplu with Charlie L-Artist; the Summer Hit Song Contest with One of a Kind and the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza with Kelma Bejn Tnejn, all composed by Andrew Zahra and penned by Rita Attard.
