King’s Cup: Holders Barcelona will play Valencia in the two-legged semi-finals of the King’s Cup and Sevilla will take on Celta Vigo following the draw yesterday. Valencia are yet to win in the league in seven matches under Gary Neville and face the ominous task of taking on last season’s treble winners who are top of La Liga and unbeaten in 25 games in all competitions. Both first-leg matches are on February 3.

Friendly: Romania will host Lithuania in a friendly on March 23 as part of their preparations for the Euro 2016 finals in France, the Romanian football federation said. Anghel Iordanescu’s team kick off their Euro 2016 campaign against host nation France in Paris on June 10. Romania will also play friendlies against European champions Spain on March 27 and Georgia on June 3, two days before leaving for France.

King: Rangers have clinched a deal to bring in Hearts winger Billy King until the end of the season. The 21-year-old has featured 20 times for Robbie Neilson’s side this term, but has now completed a surprise switch to Ibrox. King, who has 18 months left on his Tynecastle deal, will go straight into Mark Warburton’s squad to face Falkirk in today’s Championship clash.

Paloschi: Swansea City have completed the signing of Italian striker Alberto Paloschi from Chievo. The 26-year-old has been signed for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance, on a three-and-a-half year deal. It is thought the fee is around £8 million. Paloschi becomes Swansea’s first major signing of the January transfer window.

In Scotland: League One – Dunfermline vs Airdrie 0-1.
