What a let-down for seniorcitizens, especially those from San Ġwann. Not only have our buses been reduced from three to one - and San Ġwann has a population of 14,000 - but we also have to walk a long way to try to get a bus from Valletta.

There’s nobody from Transport Malta to help out and most of the drivers are not very eager to assist either. One morning recently, I waited over an hour to find a bus at the Valetta terminus, standing in the sun and listening to people grumbling about the lack of organisation.

We all agreed that we have gone from bad to worse and nobody takes any responsibility. Why don’t we go back to the good old days with the rickety buses and all?
