Ten players were handed a one-match ban after last weekend’s BOV Premier League matches.

Tarxien Rainbows were the worst hit as three of their players were suspended after the 1-0 defeat to Pembroke Athleta.

Brazilian defender Bruno Oliveira and Spanish midfielder Carlos Hevia Menendez were suspended after both were red-carded in the Pembroke upset while Brazilian winger Joao Pedro was sanctioned for four yellow cards.

The Tarxien trio will miss Sunday’s game against Mosta who will be without Edile Michelett. The Nigerian collected his fourth booking in the 1-0 derby victory over Naxxar Lions.

Floriana will also have two key players missing for their tough clash with Birkirkara on Sunday as captain Nicolas Chiesa and Clyde Borg incurred their fourth yellow card in the 2-1 defeat to derby rivals Valletta last weekend.

Mbele Diosdado, sent off on his Hibs debut in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Qormi, will have to sit out the game against St Andrew’s on Saturday.

Qormi duo Ousmane Sidibe and Ryan Micallef will serve their one-match in this evening’s game against Balzan after both were suspended for your yellow cards.

Balzan will be without Justin Grioli who also received a one-match ban after earning his fourth caution in the 5-1 rout of St Andrew’s last weekend.
