ASCIAK. On January 24, at St James (Capua), Sliema, WILFRID, at the age of 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by all his immediate family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Marion, his children Ralph and Vanessa, Gordon and Helen, Rozanne and Darryl, Mark and Helene, and his grandchildren Gordon junior, Andrew, Matthew, Michael and Marty, his brother-in-law Alex and his wife Dolores, his sister-in-law Marlene, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves St James today at 1.45pm for Balluta Carmelite parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. BAMBER. On January 21, MARY DORIS, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Mark and his wife Nathalie nee Frendo, her grandchildren Kevin, Sean, Edward, Victoria, Malcolm and Claude, her brothers Henry and Alfred, her sisters Rita and Tessie, nephews and nieces, and all other relatives and friends. Mass will take place on Friday at San Ġwann parish church at 8.30am, followed by private interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza would be appreciated. It is the family’s wish that those attending the service should abstain from wearing black clothes.

CACHIA CASTELLETTI. On January 25, at Mater Dei Hos­pital, ANTHONY, aged 67, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will forever be loved and remembered by his wife Maria, his daughters Michelle, Suzanne and her husband William, and Louise; his grandchildren Chantelle, Isabelle, Saviour and Monique; his brother Oreste and his sister Clementine, their respective spouses and families; his wife’s parents Salvatore and Inez, and his wife’s siblings Charles, Tessie and John, their respective spouses and families; other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for Ta’ Xbiex parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CASSAR. On January 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE of Qormi, aged 64, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Jane, his children Joseph and his wife Priscilla and Leonilda and her fiancé Ricardo, his brothers and sisters, Lucy, Josephine, Massimo and his partner Georgina, Saviour and his wife Doris, Michael and his wife Emily, and Raymond and his wife Rita, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for St George’s parish church, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Qormi cemetery. DIMECH. On January 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marie Louise, née Buttigieg, his daughter Annemarie and her husband Thomas Schumacher, his grandchildren Mia Rose and Mathis Lorenz, his brother Lewis and his family, his brothers-in-law, their respective spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 2pm at St Anne’s parish church, Marsascala, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her irreplaceable loss her beloved son Karl, her mother Daisy, her sister Priscilla and her husband Tonio Cuschieri, her brothers Ivor and his wife Helene, and Kevin, all nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends.
