Transport Minister Joe Mizzi has created a disaster in the buses system. What made him take certain decisions is something I cannot understand, but public transport is a complete and utter failure from start to finish.

I wonder if Mizzi would care to see the bus terminus and the chaos he created.

Perhaps he would like to step inside a bus, only to fall flat on his face because the ‘competent’ drivers drive off before he sits down.

It is no use calling Mizzi a complete failure where the buses are concerned without citing some examples, so here goes:

• Mistake number one is the removal of Bus 31 to Mater Dei Hospital from the Floriana ditch. That bus often transported elderly people for a visit to hospital in the evening.

• Mistake number two is the lack of organisation over the buses. Bus 32 which used to go directly to Mater Dei now goes to Swatar first, but nobody seems to want to go on the bus, so the route is useless.

• Mistake number three is the way some buses do not stop when people are waiting at a bus stop. Is it possible that the drivers do not see these people?

I would like to make it clear to Mizzi that if he contested the first district in the next election I would rather throw away my vote than vote for him.
