A Sri Chinmoy peace ceremony was held in Lunzjata Valley, Kerċem, by the Education, Science and Culture Centre in collaboration with Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run. The event featured songs performed by Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Choir, the reading of poems and a story on the theme of peace by pupils from various primary schools. It was addressed by Gozo Minister Anton Refalo, Unesco ambassador and permanent delegate Mgr Joseph Vella Gauci and former Unesco general conference president David Hepburn. Gozo College principal Victor Galea was also present. The ceremony ended with the lighting of a beacon and the unveiling of a logo commemorating the 50th anniversary of Malta’s membership in Unesco’s Associated Schools Project Network.
