Travellers to Gozo will soon be welcomed by a mosaic rainbow of flowers created by mosaicist Mary Portelli. She is seen here working on the 11-metre-long mosaic mural depicting a murex trunculus – the mollusc used by the Phoenicians to make purple dye – sprouting a ribbon of colourful flowers. The artwork is an initiative of the Gozo Ministry.
