The critical need for inter-religious harmony and humanitarian assistance for migrants and refugees are among the themes being highlighted by the Mediterranean Peace Donkey exhibition. The exhibition of artistically decorated life-size fibreglass donkeys sculpted by Egyptian artist Reda Abdel Rahman, which previously formed part of the Mdina Cathedral Contemporary Art Biennale, is being hosted in a hall beneath the Ta’ Pinu shrine until February 28.The exhibition also seeks to highlight the need to care for the welfare of donkeys in areas of conflict. One of the exhibition sponsors is The Donkey Sanctuary, which has prepared a report entitled ‘Caught in the Middle’, about the plight of donkeys in Middle East conflict zones. Organised by Caravan, an international peacebuilding arts NGO, the exhibition is also supported by United Religions Initiative and APS Bank.
