Nadur’s official carnival event kicks off next Sunday at noon with a four-hour programme in the village’s main square organised by the local council.
It will include dances, sketches, processions of floats, bands, maskeruni and people dressed in costumes, and the traditional kukkanja.
A ‘spontaneous’ carnival will take place after sunset from February 5 to 9, where people wearing funny, satirical or grotesque costumes and masks will roam the village’s main streets.
