Over the past 15 years, Bla Kondixin has become known for being one of the best live events in Malta. Year after year, audiences look forward to its biting satire and to be entertained by its unique and talented set of popular characters. The show has been selling out audiences for the past 15 years, with box office sales sometimes exceeding 15,000.

Last year, however, Bla Kondixin topped expectations even further. Besides putting up another great show with comedians such as Kris Spiteri, Luke Dalli, Pawlu Borg Bonaci, P.J. Xerxen, Sander Agius, Mario Snits and Daniel Chircop, to celebrate the 15th edition of the show, the producers launched an initiative to help the Inspire Foundation.

The initiative – Blue Nose for Inspire – invited people to wear a blue nose. The nose could have been worn virtually on a personalised photo from the Bla Kondixin website or in real life during the show. Donations were collected in return for soft foam blue noses, which were sponsored by Konica Minolta.

Throughout the five shows, the Blue Nose initiative collected €7,000 in donations. These went directly towards funding Inspire’s disability programmes and services.

Today, Inspire helps over 1,000 individuals with various disabilities

“Inspire believes everyone has a right to equality and inclusion. Our mission is to try to help everyone with a disability to achieve this,” said Inspire’s CEO Antonello Gauci. “We do this by providing individuals and their families educational, therapeutic and leisure services, but none of this would be possible without generous contributions and initiatives such as this one. It is with heartfelt gratitude that I thank the organisers of Bla Kondixin and also the public who contributed their donations.”

Today, Inspire helps over 1,000 individuals with various disabilities ranging from Down’s Syndrome, autism, Cerebral Palsy and others. This is done through many services and disability programmes that are offered at a highly subsidised rate or sometimes even for free.
