COLEIRO. On January 15, at Pax et Bonum, MARIA, aged 97, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her nephews and nieces: Maria Farrugia, Rose and Lino Abela, George Vella, Maria and Frank Stagno Navarra, Joe and Nelly, Anton and Carmen, George and Doreen, Giovanni and Doris, Carmel and Gemma, Paul, and Gemma Depasquale, and Julian Coleiro, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today 7.45am for the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at Pax et Bonum, especially her devoted carer Sr Giuditta, for their dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MANGION. On January 15, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, URSOLA (sister of the late Rev. Fr Gino Mangion), of Qormi, aged 64, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers and sisters: Sr Maria of the Dominican Order, Carmen, Gaetana, Joseph and his wife Rose, Nazzareno and his wife Rose, John and his wife Liliana, Sebastian and his wife Maria, Rev. Fr. George Mangion, Sam and his wife Iris, Carmel and his wife Lina; nephews and nieces, among them Fr Mario Mangion, parish priest of Marsaxlokk; other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.15pm for St Sebastian parish church, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at the Resurrection Cemetery, Qormi. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family wish to thank the IDU medical staff at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre for their paliative care.

MIFSUD – MARY, née Micallef, widow of Frank J., aged 95, died peacefully after a short illness. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister-in-law Emma Micallef, her nieces Anna Briffa and Lucia Hunt and their families, her dear friend Tony Galdes Giappone, as well as members of her late husband’s family. The funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Wednesday, January 20 at 2pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish church (Sacro Cuor), Sliema. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PARNIS. On January 18, at Jasmine Residential Home, Msida, CARMEN passed away peacefully at the venerable age of 92. So much loved and so sadly missed by her nephew and nieces and their spouses, Bice and Alfred Napier, Gemma and Arthur Vassallo, Eileen and Manuel Abela, Albert and Jane Briffa, Rita Giordmaina Medici and John Laudi, husband of her late niece, as well as their respective families. Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, January 20 at 8.30am at St Mary’s parish church, (knisja l-qadima), Birkirkara. May she rest in peace.
