The following are the top stories in the Maltese newspaper.

The Sunday Times of Malta leads with details of yesterday's fatal explosion in a car in Marsascala. 

It also reports that the permit issued for an outside development zone building in
Siġġiewi to the daughter of a minister’s consultant is the subject of a government investigation. The permit was issued in the name Roderick Farrugia – the son-in-law of Albert (known as Bertu) Pace who is a consultant to Agriculture Parliamentary
Secretary Roderick Galdes and a former Labour MP.

KullHadd reports that Tonio Fnech tried to sell, for 7,900 the Honda CRV car he bought from the government for just under €2,000. He advertised the car for sale on a local website and removed the advert when it was revealed how be bought the car cheaply just before the general election.

The Malta Independent says motorists are illegally evading road and registration tax, VRT and insurance.

It-Torca says a medical file showing the psychological treatment given to a woman was illegally leaked from Gozo hospital and turned up in a marriage annulment case. 

MaltaToday says that according to its survey, Joseph Muscat's trust rating is at its lowest, but he still leads Simon Busuttil by nine points. The gap between the two parties had narrowed to three points. 

Il-Mument gives prominence to the PN convention which will lead to a review of the party's environment policy.

Illum also leads with yesterday fatal bomb explosion.
