Elite Career Consultants in Sliema are rebranding as Nicholls Moisa, with the backing of the Maltese-based company Yellow Brick Investments.

Managing director Francina Moisa was the major force behind the project. She explained the rationale for the change: “Over the last few years, we have firmly established ourselves as a major player in the niche recruitment industry. We specialise in recruiting for the financial services sector, but the old name suggested we offered career consulting. We wanted something more personal to reflect the natural development of the business.”

Nicholls Moisa, the only complete boutique headhunting business in Malta, has a remarkable success rate. They fill 95 per cent of vacancies, and 96 per cent of successful candidates stay with their new employer for over a year.

“Because of our knowledge of the financial services sector, we are better able to find the right person for each job. Our assessment of candidates is far superior to traditional agencies. Rather than drawing on old databases, we engage on a spread of six different channels to tap into pertinent talent pools onshore and reach into our worldwide network. We interview candidates face-to-face, in order to give clients a shortlist of the best individuals in the market,” Ms Moisa said.

Their clients include local and international banking, fund management and administration firms, hedge funds, auditing and advisory businesses, and providers of financial and corporate services.

She added: “There is a shortage of qualified professionals across the board. With our sole focus, unparalleled knowledge and singular understanding of the dynamics in the financial services sector, we are better able to form long-standing relationships with key players.”

Nicholls Moisa sources candidates for any finance role at any level, including accountants, financial advisers, tax specialists, fund managers, administrators and financial analysts. They also fill legal and corporate services roles within the financial services sector and have recently launched a new IT and Technology division.

“As further evidence of our commitment to the financial services market, we are continuing to grow our team of specialist consultants and increase our client list, while remaining a boutique, niche agency,” Ms Moisa said.

Nicholls Moisa also provides a selection of training courses through their affiliation with Maite Training Ltd.

“To add value, we offer training for topics such as productivity, leadership and management,” she said.

With their Finance Malta Partnership, Nicholls Moisa will deliver educational programmes for the financial services industry.

“We educate both employers and employees about the employment market to align their expectations and cultural values. The sessions are approved by the MFSA ECC and we are expecting them to run bi-annually,” Ms Moisa explained.

Dean Nicholls, founder of Yellow Brick Investments, said: “Coupled with their talent for recruitment, the Nicholls Moisa team have shown a great passion for the industry, attention to detail and appetite for hard work. With continued organic growth, coupled with an unrivalled passion and drive for the market, it’s certainly an exciting time for the business that has gone from being the ‘new kids on the block’ to the first port of call for many leading CEOs and directors across Malta and Europe. We are very proud and happy to support the next chapter of the Nicholls Moisa story.”
