It is now generally agreed that with the number of vehicles on our roads, in an island the size of a European city, we have reached a traffic crisis.
Something needs to be done and there is one thing that would ease the situation. We can do what Singapore did years ago to control the number of vehicles on our roads.
In simple words, a small group of traffic management experts would determine the number of cars Malta can take on its roads. We should abide by what these experts decide and then make sure every vehicle added on the roads replaces another that is no longer suitable to be driven. Singapore did it and we can do it.
