Q: Earlier this year, my family and I attended a TV programme, after which my wife won a voucher from a local seller.
She recently went to redeem this voucher but the salesgirl at the shop informed her that it had expired. Since there is no expiry date or any terms and conditions on the voucher, can the seller deny my wife the possibility to use it?
A: If the voucher your wife won does not have an expiry date written on it, then the seller cannot deny her the possibility to redeem it.
Your wife may wish to try and speak to the trader again, and if the trader insists he cannot redeem the voucher, your wife may then file a complaint with the Office for Consumer Affairs.
