A meeting was held between members of the Maltese Network and the executive director of the Anna Lindh Foundation, Hatem Atallah.

Mr Atallah stressed the importance of 2016 for the foundation – a year that will see the organisation of the third edition of the Anna Lindh Mediterranean Forum, themed ‘Euro-Mediterranean Forum on Intercultural Dialogue’, to be held in Malta between October 24 and 25.

Mr Atallah praised Malta’s active and central role in the foundation, saying that the next session of the Mediterranean Forum could only be held in Malta in view of its pivotal role and sensitivity in Mediterranean matters.

The executive director reiterated on the responsibility of network members to be able to connect, create common ground and reinforce common values. Malta is actively present in the operations of the foundation, both through the Foreign Ministry as well as through the network, which is headed by the Geminarie Group.
