2. Help your kids discover photography

A workshop to guide children towards the discovery of photography as a means of expression is being held at Spazju Kreattiv, St James Cavalier, Valletta. The workshop is intended to help children share their experiences with the world, to learn how to ponder on a suspended moment in time and also to give them a chance to show their own vision through the choice of a single fragment of reality.

Participants will be assisted in an actual moment of practical stage-craft, where they will be taught how to create miniature sets and how to translate this through photography, as a result creating a new set of imaginary corners.

The workshops will be brought to an end with the creation of a small hand-made artefact – a construction made by paper, glue and cartons – a material construct of how we wish to perceive Valletta, having filtered it through the wilderness of the imagination.

The workshops take place on Saturday and next Sunday, starting at 10am. Parents are welcome to accompany their children during the workshops at no charge.
