Forty-two teachers obtained the Post Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of Ethics in Schools from the University’s Faculty of Education. The certificate will enable teachers to implement the subject of ethics education in both primary and secondary schools.

Over the two semesters, the graduands explored topics related to ethical theories, moral and spiritual development, as well as effective pedagogies for teaching ethics and methods for curriculum planning and assessment of the subject.

The programme, launched in December 2013, is currently being implemented in two colleges – St Clare’s College and Maria Regina College. The first batch of students taking their Ethics Education ‘O’ level will be in 2018.
