Karl Curmi, the 10-year-old pupil from Gozo College’s Victoria Primary School who last July saved a baby from drowning at Il-Menqa, Marsalforn, was awarded the Medal for Bravery by President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca on Republic Day. He is the award’s youngest ever recipient. Gozo Minister Anton Refalo later presented him with a silver crib.
