• Look out for the age recommendations printed on the toy and keep in mind the abilities of the child who will be playing with it.

• Only buy toys with the CE mark print, which shows that the toy has been manufactured in conformity with all the necessary safety requirements.

• Look out for and read any warnings printed on the packaging.

• Spend some time with the children when they play with a new toy to ensure it is suitable for their age and abilities.

• Unsafe toys may be reported to the Market Surveillance Directorate by calling 2395 2000.
