Tenor Joseph Calleja was the main guest in a frank discussion on Tuesday's edition of Times Talk.

He is wrapping up another successful year having been recently nominated by prominent members of the opera community as an honoree of the 2016 Opera News Award. But Malta’s biggest ever musical export has often taken a stand on issues far removed from opera.

During a live phone interview, former British minister and now music critic David Mellor heaped praise on the Maltese tenor.
