Mummi Trabule, a convicted thief and rapist from the Ivory Coast was jailed for six months today after being convicted of jumping bail. He also had his bail revoked.

The man was arrested when he raised a police patrol's suspicion as he hid behind a car when he saw a police car approach in Qawra.

He then tried to run away but was chased and arrested by policemen.

Mr Trabule had served a jail sentence for rape and assault but is awaiting trial on other charges.
