A discussion regarding a set of proposals drawn up by the Church’s Interdiocesan Environment Commission, inspired by Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si’, was held at the Bishop’s Curia, Victoria.

Following an introduction by commission president Victor Axiaq, the proposals were presented by Mgr Carmel Refalo, Fr Mark Ciantar, Reuben Pace, Christine and Katarina Galea Curmi, and via Skype, by Fr Gordon Refalo.

Catholic Action diocesan president Antoine Vassallo encouraged more lay organisations to enter the arena of public opinion.

Following interventions by the audience and a book launch, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech delivered the closing address.

The meeting was chaired by Joe Ellis.
