ATTARD. On December 10, at Casa Leone, St Julian’s, EMILY, aged 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Alfred and his wife Joanne, Maryrose and Maurice, Mona and Joss, Marguerite and her husband Alan Bonavia, her devoted grandchildren Sharon, Rebecca, Martin, Rachel, Francesca, John, Matthew, and Rachel, their husbands, wives and fiancées, her 13 dearest great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 2.30pm at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the nurses and carers at Casa Leone for their dedicated work. He leaves to mourn him his beloved children Marceline and her husband Silvio Schembri, Tonio and his wife Marianne, Herman and his wife Stephanie, Miriam and her husband Alex Gauci, and Dennis and his wife Yvette, his grandsons and granddaughters, Jonathan, Aaron, Ryan, Michelle, Christina, Daniel, Laura, Kain, Victoria and Erika, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp today at 1.30pm for St Mary’s parish church (knisja l-qadima), Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. On December 10, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, CONNIE, née Holland, widow of Joe, went to meet the Risen Lord, one week short of her 84th birthday, after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude and great courage, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by all her loved ones. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her beloved children Anna and Pierre Ciantar, Peter and Antoinette, Claire and Edward DeBono, and Roberta and David Tortell; her most adored grandchildren Maria, Nicholas, Andrew, Matthew, Shaun, Daniel and Timothy; her sisters and brothers Helen Schembri, Anthony, Noel and Margaret, and Estelle and John Azzopardi Vella; her in-laws Alice Dingli, Arthur and Doretta Zammit Lupi, Louise Pace and Nicolette Zammit Lupi, many nephews and nieces, numerous relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9am for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated.
