Love was in the air at the Manoel Theatre this evening when a man proposed to his partner on stage during the popular Teatru Unplugged.

Having hosted hundreds of love scenes since its construction in 1732, this time the Manoel Theatre featured quite possibly one of the most magical and real love scenes on stage. There was no script, no rehearsals and no room for error.

In a move pre-planned with the compères before the final act, Sergio Cappitta managed to get himself and his unsuspecting girlfriend Andrea Grungo onto the stage. What happened next took everyone by surprise - most all his girlfriend Andrea - as he got on one knee and proposed.

A beaming Andrea told the producers of the Teatru Unplugged 18 show: "I would have never expected anything like this. It came as a surprise but I am delighted and am looking forward to a married life with Sergio."
