Fish vendors held a protest at the new fishmarket in Marsa early this morning, complaining that some facilities are missing in the €4 million market which was inaugurated on November 25.

The protest started at about 6am and the fishermen said there would be no sales today and tomorrow.

They complained over various issues, including a lack of waste disposal and  fish cleaning facilities for some types of fish.
