Thanks to the undying support of HSBC and other beneficiaries, the Education Hub is one of the seven schools which has included the Prince’s Trust inits curriculum.
On Wednesday, the school was visited by the Prince’s Trust officials from Ireland as well as the Ministry of Education and HSBC Malta officials, led by CEO Andrew Beane.
They were given a tour of the school and witnessed students, who in the past were seen as the black sheep due to their truancy and absenteeism, full of enthusiasm, keen, engaged and ready to learn, taking pride in their work. The officials were satisfied that their goals were being reached and that the XL programme was forming the students to become a successful future generation.
On Thursday, HSBC Group head of government affairs Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, as well as other officials from the bank, returned to inaugurate the HSBC Water Programme – Catch the Drop campaign in this Education Hub.
The rain water from the roof tops is being drained into tanks, conserved and used towater the plants.
The HSBC officials presented the students with a reusable water bottle so as to instil awareness about the need to save the environment through recycling and recycle bags.
