• Oliver Friggieri will give a talk entitled Hekk Tħabbat il-Qalb Maltija (The way the Maltese heart beats) at the Archbishop’s Seminary library, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, on Friday at 6.30pm. One of a series of talks aimed at generating critical reflection on topics related to Christian faith in the Maltese context, it is organised by the Foundation for Theological Studies and the Seminary library committee in conjunction with the University’s Department of Maltese. • A memory tree celebration for departed loved ones who died under tragic circumstances will be held on December 7, starting with Mass at 6.30pm at the Millennuim Chapel, Paceville, followed by the lighting of candles and tethering of hearts with the names of loved ones on the tree.
• Wirt San Ġwann is organising its sixth public lecture by Maxine Anastasi about ‘The archaeology of the Punic and Roman period of San Ġwann within the wider Maltese landscape’ on Saturday at 9.30am at San Ġwann’s parish hall.
