A two-day conference entitled ‘Laudato Si from the document to action’, inspired by Pope Francis’s encyclical, is being organised by the Church’s Inter-diocesan Commission for the Environment on Friday and Saturday.

Government and Church representatives will be invited to discuss and possibly commit themselves to a number of proposals inspired by the Pope’s encyclical that the commission feels are relevant for the country to be more sustainable at all levels.

The first session will be held on Friday at 6pm at the Catholic Institute, Floriana, and the second will be held on Saturday at 9am at the Bishop’s Chancery, Republic Street, Victoria.

Participation via skype transmission will be possible for those unable to attend either session.

For more information or to reserve a seat call 7907 0357 or 2138 0540, or e-mail ambjent@maltadiocese.org.
