• A charity fair in aid of Friends of the Sick and Elderly Gozo is taking place today from 7.30am to 1pm in the football ground next to the main parking area in Victoria. Sellers pay a €10 donation.

• The feast of St Andrew the Apostle will be celebrated today in Fontana with a concelebrated Mass led by Bishop Mario Grech at 3.45pm in the parish church. A procession with the statue of St Andrew led by Can Noel Saliba, with the participation of the Precursor Band, begins at 4.45pm.

• Big Game (PG) and Spy (15) will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm and 8pm respectively.

• A book sale will be held at Sacred Heart Minor Seminary, Victoria, from Tuesday to Friday and on December 7 from 8.30am to 2pm.

• Richmond Foundation will hold its monthly self-help group meeting on Tuesday at 4.30pm at the NGO centre, l/o Xewkija. For further details call 2148 2336.

• A Mass for graduates and members of all professions in Gozo, including couples, will be held by the Gozitan Graduates Movement on Friday at 8pm at St Augustine’s Church, Victoria. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available a few minutes earlier.

• The three films competing for this year’s European Parliament’s 2015 EP Lux Prize are being shown at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria. Kristina Grozeva and Petar Val­chanov’s film Urok (The Lesson), will be screened on Friday at 8pm. Italian-US filmmaker Jonas Carpignano’s film Mediterranea will be screened on Saturday at 8pm, and Deniz Gamze Ergüven’s winning film Mustang be screened at 10pm.

• The Gozo Bird Breeders Society will hold a bird show at Gozo Sports Complex, Victoria, on Saturday and next Sunday from 8.30am to 8pm.

• Members of Il-Fergħa Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will meet at Ta’ Pinu on Saturday at 3pm to celebrate Mass and for adoration of the sacrament till 4pm. All are welcome to attend.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at St Francis church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• Gozo Agricultural, Industrial and Cultural Society is holding its annual Christmas exhibition of traditional crafts from Friday to December 8 at the Gozo Ministry exhibition hall, St Francis Square, Victoria. Entrance is free. Trophies for the best exhibits will be awarded by Gozo Minister Anton Refalo on December 8 at 5.30pm.

• The Christmas carol service of the Legion of Mary’s Ecumenical Committee will be held at Christ the Saviour Church, Għasri, on December 9 at 7pm. There will be Bible readings, carol singing, a mime and traditional Christmas messages. Refreshments will be served at the end. Foreign residents of all denominations and the public are welcome to attend. Parking is available in the village square.

• The Schola Cantorum Jubilate choir will perform its Carols by Candlelight concert at St Augustine’s Priory, Victoria, on December 11 and 12 at 7.30pm. The priory cloister will later host a Christmas banquet. The foyer will host an exhibition by young artist Manuel Farrugia. All proceeds will be in aid of Ġużeppa Debono Home, Għajnsielem. Tickets are on sale from D’Amato Records Shop, Valletta, and Bargate Bookshop, Victoria.
