A group of 25 San Andrea Senior School students took part in a five-day trip to Brussels. They visited the European Parliament chamber where plenary sessions are held and met MEPs Roberta Metsola, Therese Comodini Cachia, Miriam Dalli, Marlene Mizzi and Alfred Sant, who spoke about their role at the Parliament.

The students were also hosted at Dar Malta where Malta’s Ambassador to Belgium Ray Azzopardi briefed them on the embassy’s role. The group also visited other sites in Brussels, Ghent and Bruges.

The students were accompanied by assistant head Christopher Schembri, Maltese teacher Louise Grech Abela and Accounts and Economics teacher Karen Dimech.

The school trip was partially funded by the European Parliament’s Opinion Multiplier Group Scheme.
