A comedy about Albert Einstein’s life and achievements was the first activity at the Esplora interactive science centre at Villa Bighi, Kalkara.

Tangram Theatre Com­pany from the UK performed several hour-long shows comprising physical theatre, songs, science and jokes over two days. Morning shows were held for students from various schools and evening shows for the public.

Parliamentary Secretary Chris Agius said: “I am certain the experience will leave a mark on the children,” adding that such activities were important for children to start nurturing a love for science.

Malta Council for Science and Technology executive chairman Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando said the event was a taste of things to come at Esplora.

The event which was held in collaboration with the Department of Curriculum Management.
