The MCCAA hosted a public consultation meeting themed ‘A government that listens’, during which the public had the opportunity to put forward to Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties Minister Helena Dalli questions on the work currently being undertaken by the ministry in this regard.

Dr Dalli replied to questions about the cohabitation Bill, the set-up of the Commission for Equality and Human Rights, the consumer index scoreboard, precarious employment, the maternity leave fund, measures to increase women employment and the changes that the government would be implementing to NGO funding schemes.

She also visited an information desk with consumer information, which was open to the public throughout the whole day.

Accompanied by MCCAA chairman Marcel Pizzuto and various directors, Dr Dalli also visited an exhibition displaying the work carried out by various entities within the MCCAA.
