Matthew Demicoli, the 17-year-old who collapsed outside his school in Naxxar on Tuesday, died as a result of a cardio-respiratory failure, an autopsy has revealed.

Matthew was on his way to Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary at about 8am when he collapsed in front of fellow students. He was still alive but unresponsive and died soon afterwards. Counsellors were called in to assist guidance officers in helping students who were traumatised at the sudden death.
