Six hundred persons managed to raise €7,500 during a 34-hour abseiling marathon held over the weekend in aid of Dar tal-Providenza.

The marathon, that was held on the Mosta Bridge, kicked off early Saturday morning and ran till late Sunday evening. It was organised by the Mosta Scout Group with the collaboration of the Mosta Local Council and Radio RTK.

On Saturday, Archbishop Emeritus, Mgr Paul Cremona OP blessed the participants at the kick off for the marathon. Archbishop Mgr Charles J. Scicluna and Mosta Mayor Edwin Vassallo met some of the participants.

Those who abseiled the bridge included Nationalist MP David Agius.
