The PoutFest Tour LGBTIQ film festival kicked off at the Eden Cinemas on November 11. As part of its Side-Street Film concept, exhibiting alternative and non-mainstream films, Eden Cinemas hosted a festival, the first of its kind, at their theatres. The premiere movie featured the new film 52 Tuesdays. Those in attendance included Social Dialogue Minister Helena Dalli and representatives from the Allied Rainbow Community and the LGBTIQ community. Guests were given a glass of Kinnie Kiss to enjoy in the newly-created ‘lobby lounge’ before the movie started. Through such initiatives, Eden Leisure Group hopes to further increase awareness, support and rights for the LGBTIQ community in Malta. They hope this festival will mark the beginning of more niche, educational and alternative film content.
