Porsche delivered 18,699 new cars worldwide last month, an increase of 18 per cent year on year. Year to date sales rose 27 per cent to a record 191,784 units in the first 10 months of the year. The full year 2014 tally was 189,849.

The Macan is now the brand’s top seller at nearly 70,000 units by the end of October, followed by the Cayenne with some 60,000 vehicles – 12 per cent more than in the same period of 2014.

The strongest single market in October was China, where Porsche sold 4,950 vehicles, up 44 per cent. Close behind was the United States with 4,070 vehicles, an increase of 11 per cent. The European market grew by 11 per cent with 6,691 units. The main contributor was Germany with 2,644 units, up 10 per cent.
