Valletta was transformed into a cultural crossroad this morning as musicians from Jamaica, Ghana, Zanzibar, Colombia and Malta gave a concert in Pjazza Teatru Rjal as part of Womad (The World of Music, Arts and Dance Festival) and ŻiguŻajg.

Following the concert the audience joined up with the ŻiguŻajg Parade, which also featured Les Plasticiens Volants, giant inflated puppets and objects which flew over the public, creating a world of dreamlike emotions.

The flying objects were operated from the ground by the actor-operators who became one with the character floating above them.

They ran, danced, disappeared and appeared to tell their story.
