A 36-year-old plasterer from Fgura who admitted causing grievous injuries to his brother during an argument yesterday afternoon, today was given a one-year jail term suspended for two years.

The court, presided by Magistrate Gabriella Pace, warned Renald Magro that if he harassed his brother Steve, or had further arguments with him, there would be an automatic €1,000 fine.

The prosecution was led by Inspector Spiridione Zammit, while lawyer Franco Debono appeared for the accused.
