Who came up with the idea to replace all the lamp posts in Gozo with LED light? The orange lamps, which still work, are being replaced with this awful-looking white light. I can read a book now in my bedroom with the curtains closed.

If you look at Gozo from above in the middle of the night, as I can since I live on a cliff, there is so much light pollution. The Citadel is sometimes lit, sometimes dark. The beautiful soft orange lighting that made Gozo a fairy-tale destination is forever gone. Do we ever think of tourism here?

Why don’t we keep what is beautiful and tackle the real problems in Gozo, such as garbage everywhere, badly maintained roads and rubble outside unfinished buildings? That would be more constructive than changing lamp posts, which is a waste of money.
