The University of Malta and the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine have inaugurated the Centre for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the university’s Msida campus.

The centre, which allows healthcare practitioners who enrolled as students to acquire skills in clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine to complement their theoretical studies, has two resident Chinese clinical professionals from Shanghai University and a number of other professors carrying out theoretical and practical teaching in Malta.

The centre was opened by University of Malta rector Juanito Camilleri and Zhang Zhiqiang, party secretary and chairman of Shanghai University council, in the presence of Chinese Ambassador Cai Jinbiao, Wang Jianqun, Charles Savona Ventura, Reno Calleja, Zhang Bing, deputy president, Longhua Hospital, and Yao Zheng, deputy president, Shuguang Hospital.
