• As part of the concluding events of the bicentenary year of St John Bosco’s birth, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will inaugurate a monument of the saint in front of Don Bosco Oratory Chapel today at 11am. The statue by artist John Grima is a replica of a monument inaugurated in Turin last May in rememberance to the two Gozitan priests, Fr Joe Galea and Fr Joshua Muscat, who dedicated themselves to the youth in Italy. The replica will be dedicated to priests who work with children and youths in Gozo.

• A ceremony will be held to celebrate the feast of Christ the King today at 4.30pm in front of Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will deliver a message.

• Max (12A) and The Longest Ride (12A) will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm and 8pm respectively.

• MUSEUM superior Joe Fenech will hold a prayer and catechesis meeting at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Victoria, on Thursday from 10 to 11am. He presents a programme on Radju Marija on Saturdays from 1 to 3pm.

• Readings from English and Maltese plays submitted in the Gozo Live play-writing competition will take place on Friday at 7.30pm in the Gozo Ministry exhibition hall, St Francis Square, Victoria. Awards will be presented to the winner and runners-up. Admission is free and the public is welcome. The performance is directed by Rob Ricards.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Good Shepherd Church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8pm, followed by Mass at midnight.
