HSBC Bank Malta customers paying for their shopping, restaurant bills or other services on Global Payments point-of-sales terminals in Malta and Gozo will automatically take part in a competition with a chance to win one of four €1,000 prizes. The competition runs until January 15, with two winners being announced on December 14 and another two at the end of the campaign. The winners will need to correctly answer trivia questions to claim the prize.

The bank’s head of retail banking and wealth management Paul Steel said: “Customers are making greater use of their debit cards all the time.

These cards offer a convenient method of payment, removing the need to carry large amounts of cash. Our partners, Global Payments Malta, have provided local businesses with thousands of point-of-sales machines, which means our debit cards are accepted all over Malta and Gozo.”
