The Valletta conference on migrants’ invasion of Europe held optimistic hopes for solvingthe problem.
Europe soon found the African nations, all 28 of them, rubbing their hands in anticipation of a windfall of euros, which Europe will provide each of them in the spurious hope they will stop their countrymen from leaving their shores. What a hope.
Money alone will not solve this problem and if the Africans think they will be receiving cash they will be disappointed. Their ready opportunity to obtain funds from Europe will and should take other forms than cash.
For Africans to remain in there own countries, they have to build their nations on the European model. Europe has political stability, democratic institutions, social and welfare systems and sophisticated technologies to assist all operating systems in the administration of a modern civilised country.
Any monies provided to these African states must be directed towards these aims. It will take time but the onus is on the Africans themselves who need to put their house in order first before they present their begging bowl to the more advanced nations of Europe.
