PORTELLI. On November 15, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, MARY, née Gatt, widow of Dr Leo Portelli, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. A much loved mother of Anna, wife of Joseph Grech Sant and Denise, wife of Nuccio Vitali, she leaves to mourn her loss her adored grandchildren Julienne, Maria, Veronica and Fabrizio and great-grandchildren, her brothers Sidney and Oscar Gatt, sister-in-law Monique and her dedicated carer Ġuża Manara, besides her relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre today at 9am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. May she rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.
SCICLUNA. On November 17, at home, EMANUEL of Victoria, Gozo, aged 83, former head teacher of several primary schools in Gozo, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Rose Mary, his children Joe and his wife Anna, Miriam and her husband John, Bridget and her husband Martin, and John Paul and his wife Marie Stell, his brothers Mgr. Carmelo Scicluna and Joseph and his wife Tereżina, his grandchildren Daniel, Matthew, Angela, Maria, Angele, Caroline, Joanne, Eliana and Milene, his wife’s brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
