A team of four Malta FA match officials will head to eastern Europe this week to take charge of two matches from the Georgia first division league.

The initiative forms part of the Refereeing Department’s exchange agreement with their counterparts from the Georgia Football Association.

Clayton Pisani will control the match between fourth-placed Spartak Tskhinvali and Sioni Bolnisi, currently second in the standings. This match will be played at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium on Saturday.

The following day, Philip Farrugia officiates the match between league leaders Dinamo Tbilisi and fifth-placed FC Samtredia at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena.

Assistant referees Jurgen Spiteri and Martin Borg will also be involved in both matches.

The Maltese officials will be under the supervision of UEFA referee observer Jorn West Larsen, of Denmark, and Georgia’s Levan Paniashvili.
